So many of you have asked me, "what has happened to your business since being on the Rachel Ray Show?" The simple answer is that you found us, and we have been incredibly busy ever since! Once you found out where our candy kitchen is on Main Street in Mechanicsburg, you started knocking on our door, windows, and rang our door bell to get in. We didn't even know we HAD a door bell; when we heard this unusual "chirp" we kept saying to each other, "what is that noise and where is it coming from?" Customers are coming from Cumberland, Dauphin, York, Lebanon, Adams, and Perry counties, and even further when their work brings them into our area. Fortunately my husband and I owned another commercial property 2 doors down the street from Brittle Bark, and he generously offered us its use for our retail Brittle Bark store. Yes, I know I am lucky…This is where our retail store is now located, and where we will host many events throughout the year. Our store is a very special confectionary shoppe where you will find unusual handmade sweets including 13 or more seasonal varieties of Brittle Bark and award winning handmade chocolates from chocolatiers located in California, New York, Massachusetts, and of course several from Pennsylvania. These are small businesses with interesting stories that you can read about when you visit. Sweet treats also include handmade hard candies that are so popular especially during the holiday season, and hand made and decorated fresh cookies themed for the month. We also have fresh specialty nuts arriving each month — wait until you try the praline pecans. Many of our products will be in limited supply since we are committed to offering handmade, fresh products; we apologize if we run out and cannot get more.
